What Can I Expect?

Upon completion of Rideout’s Furstaid pet first aid and cpr class you will receive certification for 2 years and be able to confidently

  • Understand how to check your pet’s vitals 

  • Control bleeding and bandage a wound…preventing excessive blood loss and infection

  • Recognize signs of injury, illness, and distress

  • Perform the Heimlich maneuver on your pet

  • Use proper techniques to restrain your pet during an emergency

  • Use External Extraction technique to remove obstructions blocking airway

  • Perform CPCR (cardio pulmonary cerebral resuscitation) on your pet

  • Pet first aid techniques evolve, and it’s easy to forget important skills.Re-certification every 2 years ensures you’re up-to-date on the latest techniques
